Sirens have an even bigger resistance against Piercing, taking 0.5x damage, though to be fair I don't think it's big enough to ever make the Crossbow a two-shot weapon. So what the heck is the point of using the Crossbow then? The Fleshpound has the same resistance against Piercing damage, as well a 0.75x resistance against Ballistic damage, so the Centerfire is at the same disavantage there. 180 * 1.95 * 2 (shots) = 702, capable of two-shotting a Scrake. 350 * 1.7 = 595, falling short of one-shotting a Scrake. The Scrake does not have a resistance to the Centerfire damage (Ballistic), but it DOES have a 0.75x (-25%) damage multiplier against the Crossbow damage (Piercing).Īssuming that the game just adds the damage multipliers together and multiplies the ZED's incoming damage by whatever percentage, then I SHOULD be doing 1.95x (1 + 0.1 + 0.2 + 0.25 + 0.3 + 0.1) damage on a headshot with the Centerfire, and 1.7x (add the -25% damage) damage with the Crossbow. I'm a level 20 Sharpshooter (+20% damage on headshot), and I tested this out with Sniper (+25%), Stability (+30%), and Dead Eye (+10%) all active.

The crossbow deals 350 damage, and the Centerfire deals 180. So does the Centerfire.Ī Scrake on Suicidal has 630 head health, and the head takes 1.1x damage (+10%).

On Solo Suicidal, the Crossbow takes 2 headshots to kill a Scrake.
